Health tourism expert – CEO of Firstmed Services GmbH
Eszter Jopp was born in Budapest in 1973. She lived there till the age of 20 until she came to study business economics in Germany. Today she is a German citizen and lives in Potsdam.
Eszter already devoted herself to the theme health tourism during her stay in Hungary. As an employee of a Hungarian tax agency she worked on a market study that aimed to attract potential new patients from European foreign countries for the first private clinic in Hungary. She came to the idea to go into this promising business for herself during this time.
Eszter Jopp already founded the Medic Travel GmbH in Budapest in 1993 and arranged beauty and eye laser treatments for German speaking patients in Hungary. She realized quickly that the communication over the Internet is the best way to attract patients from abroad for medical treatments in Hungary. She extended therefore her Know-How by adding a correspondence course in communications management at the Management Academy in Köln.
In 1998 Eszter Jopp created the brand BodyConture. It stands for high quality beauty and eye laser treatments in Hungary.
In 2004 she worked as an advisor for the health portal, myBody, where she participated in the strategic and the content-related buildup of the site. A year later Eszter Jopp called the Internet platform Zahnklinik-Ungarn.de into being.
The native of Hungary founded the Firstmed Services GmbH together with other experts from the health and Internet branch in 2006 and she has been the CEO of the provider for medical tourism to Hungary since. The brands Bodyconture and Zahnklinik-Ungarn.de were buttoned up together this way.
Another milestone in the success story of the Firstmed Services GmbH was achieved by Eszter Jopp with the purchase of her Swiss competitor DentalTravel GmbH (founded in 1997). With it she further expanded the role of the Firstmed Services GmbH as the leading provider of health travels to Hungary.
Eszter Jopp is a Europe-wide medical tourism expert specialized in the DACH region in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. She regularly holds presentations over the development and trends in the health tourism and many media reach out to her for advice in this topic.
